Faith Works!

Faith Works is a Lectionary based Religious Education Program open to all children in Grades PreK-5. Faith Works offers children a new and fun way to learn about their faith outside of a typical classroom setting. Faith Works is fully Catholic in its teaching and provides the opportunity for families to live and discuss the Gospel on a weekly basis.


Holy Trinity and Our Lady Star of the Sea parishioners and are given priority for Faith Works enrollment.

Sunday Mass Attendance:

I understand the importance of attending Mass. I agree that children whose families do not come to Sunday Mass (or Saturday Vigil Mass) will not be allowed to participate in Faith Formation Classes.


Class Time and Location:

Our classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm, beginning September 17, 2025. Classes will be held in the Star of the Sea School building.


Fees:

There is no cost for the program.


First Sacrament Programs

Sacramental Years – First Confession and Holy Communion


Traditionally, baptized children receive First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion in grade 2 (or age 7).


Sunday Mass Attendance:

I understand the importance of attending Mass. I agree that children whose families do not come to Sunday Mass (or Saturday Vigil Mass) will not be allowed to participate in the First Sacrament Preparation or receive First Communion.


Formation Requirements:

Children must attend one of the following:

- Faith Works or

- School at Star of the Sea or

- be in an approved Home Study Program as well as attend the Sacramental Preparation Classes.


Class Time and Location:

Our Formation Evenings and Retreat are for parents and children.


  • CLASS 1: 6-7:30 PM
  • Oct. 2 at Our Lady Star of the Sea - or -
  • Oct. 9 at Holy Trinity
  • CLASS 2: 6-7:30 PM
  • Oct. 16 at Our Lady Star of the Sea - or -
  • Oct. 23 at Holy Trinity
  • RETREAT 9am-Noon Beginning with Mass at 9am then parents & children are guided through 3 stations.
  • Oct. 25 at Holy Trinity - or -
  • Nov. 1 at Our Lady Star of the Sea


FIRST RECONCILIATION: FIRST 3 WEEKENDS IN DECEMBER


First Communion Preparation Schedule will be very similar with First Communions on the First Weekend in May.
