Marriage and the Common Good (English, Spanish)

The Bishops of Washington State have issued a pastoral statement entitled, Marriage and the Common Good, in response to legislation introduced to change the current law defining marriage, HB 2516 and SB 6239.

On January 23rd, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain presented oral testimony in opposition to SB 6239 before the Senate Government Operations, Tribal Relations & Elections Committee. Testimony in opposition to HB 2516 was delivered to the House Judiciary Committee.
